Alhamdulillah, the consultative meeting organized by the Bangladesh Women’s Madrasa Unity Council was successfully held at Ummāhātul Mu’minīn Women’s Madrasa, Dhaka, in the presence of the respected Muhtamims (principals) of women’s madrasas across the capital.

The meeting focused on the urgent situation faced by women’s madrasas affected by the ongoing floods. Participants discussed the extent of damage, immediate needs, and long-term rehabilitation efforts required to restore educational activities and ensure the safety and continuity of students’ learning.

After detailed deliberation and collective consultation, it was unanimously decided to launch a coordinated fundraising campaign to support the affected madrasas. The fundraiser will aim to provide:

Emergency financial assistance

Essential supplies and educational materials

Basic restoration and repair support

Aid for displaced students and staff

A structured relief committee has been formed to oversee transparency, collection, and proper distribution of funds. The council emphasized accountability, unity, and sincerity in carrying out this responsibility.

The respected scholars also urged the wider community, well-wishers, and donors to come forward generously in support of this noble cause, reminding everyone that assisting institutions of sacred knowledge is a means of continuous reward (Sadaqah Jariyah).

May Allah Ta‘ala accept this collective effort, grant relief to the affected institutions, protect all madrasas from hardship, and place barakah in every contribution.

Ameen.
